clayton brothers
i finally got around to seeing the clayton brothers exhibition at the mmoca in madison. totally awesome! they came and gave an artist talk in the art dept earlier in the semester, and it was excellent. i am fascinated by artists that work exclusively as a team, especially ones that are siblings!

the whole achievement at gallery 2000
i'm having a show at gallery 2000 at middleton high school! i installed the totems and heraldic shields yesterday, but it just opened today with an all-day open house reception. i had 14 classes visit the gallery to view the work, ask questions, and hear my artist spiel. it was a blast!
the art department at middleton high is amazing (what high school has its own art gallery?!) and the teachers are so enthusiastic and obviously dedicated to their students. thanks to MHS for such a great opportunity!
the show will be up from 8 am to 3:30 pm weekdays, at 2100 Bristol St., Middleton, WI, until Dec 17. click here or here for more info.
(photos to come from the MHS open house and my bear piece from the graphics show...hopefully very soon!)

lisa candage
one of my oldest (we went to preschool together!) and bestest friends in the world had her MFA thesis exhibition this past weekend in queens, new york, and i was fortunate enough to be there to celebrate with her! i arrived early to help her install the show and stayed through the weekend to hang out and bop around brooklyn and manhattan viewing more art, shopping, eating, and seeing old friends.
her exhibition is titled "Recommended For You" and includes paintings, photography and video installations. she is a rockstar artist and my hero!
here are a few highlights from the show, but you can see the full set here. you can also see more of her work here and soon, here.

my first workshop!
i taught my first workshop ever this past saturday morning! fifteen high school art teachers from around the state came to campus to participate in a serigraphy workshop led by me! we had a blast, and everyone walked away with their own dimensional print.
