I'm in two groups currently, one in Boulder at The Dairy Center for the Arts, and one at b.j. spoke gallery in Huntington, New York. At The Dairy I'm showing my large piece, CW, and two smaller heraldic shields, Kit and Nan. At b.j. spoke I'm showing two small prints on paper, All Me and Healed.

CSArt Colorado
This past winter I was one of 18 artists chosen to participate in the 2013 season of the Community Supported Art Colorado program (CSArt). You can see the list of participating artists here and read more about purchasing a share here.
I will be creating a limited edition screenprint for shareholders. My work will be a part of the Fall Distribution Event on Thursday, October 17, to be held either at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMOCA) or at the Denver Botanic Gardens.
Shares are going fast, so snatch one up soon! The first Spring Distribution Event is on May 16 at the Denver Botanic Gardens.
Denver Botanic Gardens and Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art are proud to present Community Supported Art Colorado (CSArt Colorado). Modeled closely on Community Supported Agriculture (CSAs) programs that link local crop growers with local consumers, the CSArt program connects local artists with local art lovers through a buy-local, share-based membership. Shareholders will receive a total of nine original artworks from nine local artists throughout the 2013 season. Selected by curators from Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and Denver Botanic Gardens, the featured artworks will be in a range of media and allow for people to easily discover artists. CSArt Colorado will host three distribution events throughout the season. Distribution events will be exciting occasions where shareholders will meet the artists, mingle with fellow art enthusiasts, and pick up three pieces of art for their collections.

I have works in two upcoming printmaking exhibitions, one here in Denver and one in Iowa.
The Print 528.0 exhibition opening reception is on Friday, February 1 during First Fridays in Denver. My friends and fellow artists, Catherine Chauvin and Fawn Atencio, are also showing work, so come out and support us if you're in the area!

dana schutz and new work
Here's a sneak peek of some new prints (on paper!) that I made for our upcoming group show at RedLine, Material Engagements, curated by the artist, writer, and curator Harmony Hammond.
In other news, Dana Schutz was in residence at University of Denver this past week and a half. Her exhibition of works on paper at the Denver MCA opened last week, and her big ten-year survey opens at the Denver Art Museum in November. While on campus, she made some monotypes in the printshop with Catherine Chauvin.

news!
Lots of changes around these parts....
One quick bit of good news is that I am now a resident artist at RedLine in Denver, Colorado! I'm looking forward to many exciting opportunities in the next couple of years, starting with a group exhibition in the RedLine gallery that opens at the end of October. More on that later....
You can find out more about RedLine and the programs and opportunities they offer here, and you can see my artist profile here!

direct object sneak peek
amelia and i are collaborating on an installation for the overture center for the arts. the opening reception is on friday, july 15, coinciding with the openings of two other exhibitions at the overture. our installation will be up until the middle of september!
here's the blurb from their website:
In the exhibition, Direct Object, low-relief wall pieces depict images of everyday objects to explore the power and psychology of humans’ intrinsic attraction to objects and images. Collaborators Amelia Toelke and Chinn Wang combine the materials and techniques of both sculpture and printmaking to create their installation at the Overture Center, employing punctuation elements and typographic symbols to compose a visual run-on sentence. The exhibition presents the artists’ shared interest in themes of domesticity, nostalgia, consumerism, ornamentation, heirloom, and history.
Summer Gallery Cycle RECEPTION: FRI, JUL 15th from 6 pm to 8 pm
